About Mains & Associates CPAs PC

Kathy Mains, CPA, worked for a regional CPA firm for several years before starting her own practice in 1989. Within a few years, her office evolved to Mains & Associates CPAs PC.

In addition to Mrs. Mains, the clients are also served by Tanya Kessinger, CPA. Mrs. Kessinger worked for a national CPA firm for several years before taking time to stay at home with her young children. After returning to the area, Tanya joined Mains & Associates CPAs in 2006. The clients are also served by three para-professionals, Brenda Briddick, Jamie Harbaugh, and Kacey Poe, as well as one seasonal employee, Shanna Strole.

As members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, the firm participates in ongoing Peer Review procedures. As certified public accountants, Kathy Mains and Tanya Kessinger believe that accuracy and compliance with higher standards is important to the small businesses which they serve.

Mission Statement

To promote the American dream of owning a successful small business, by providing accurate financial information for use in making wise business decisions and assisting in developing a strategy suited for the business. To use insights developed from our years of experience as financial consultants and philosophies and strategies based upon Biblical concepts, while maintaining the higher standards expected of the CPA profession.
